Good Book

I recommend reading Bill McKibben's latest book, Deep Economy. I picked it up last week at my local bookstore and couldn't put it down until I finished. McKibben's basic premise is that we've passed the point in the West where more no longer equals better and growth is not necessarily good. He rather convincingly argues that economic growth isn't improving the lives of most people, is causing our economy to bump into the physical limits of our ecosystem with potentially catastrophic results, and that more wealth doesn't actually make us happier any more (how many IPods do you really need?). His solution involves shifting the measure of our societal/economic well-being away from things like GDP and growth and begin focusing instead on real quality of life through economies operating on a much smaller, more local scale within our communities.

All this and more coming from a Methodist Sunday school teacher from Vermont.
Go pick up a copy or better yet, borrow mine. You'll be glad you did.

You have to watch out for those Vermont Methodists. They seem nice at the start, but sure can bite you in the end. I'm glad to know that a few of us can actually write, though. I'll try to find the book. Thanks for the recommendation. I've enjoyed checking in on you when I remember about it. Good luck and all.

I'm the sort of guy who enjoys to taste original things. Right now I'm making my own pv panels. I'm doing it all alone without the assistance of my men. I am utilizing the net as the only way to acheive that. I encountered a truly amazing website that explains how to make pv panels and wind generators. The site explains all the steps involved in solar panel construction.

I'm not really sure about how accurate the data given there is. If some guys over here who have xp with these works can have a look and give your feedback in the thread it would be awesome and I'd highly value it, cause I extremely passion solar panel construction.
